School Aged Boys To Be Given Lessons In Chatting Up Girls

School Aged Boys To Be Given Lessons In Chatting Up Girls: Teenaged boys who lack a male role model will receive lessons in how to ask their female peers out as part of a new mentoring scheme at Chase High School, in Essex. Lessons will be given by male teachers, and will also include lessons on how to shave, how to treat women and how to save money and present yourself.

The students will also be encouraged to approach teachers if they have any problems, and will be taught what it means to be a good pupil and a good friend. They will also have the opportunity to be involved in golf lessons, football tournaments and other confidence building and team orientated activities including camping and survival skills.

The school, based in Westcliff-on-Sea, was recently found to be ‘inadequate’ by Ofsted and it is hoped the new approach will boost students’ confidence and help in turn to improve results. The school’s Head teacher, Victoria Overy, said:

‘We want to improve their attitude to learning and school, to have them feel appreciated.’

She went on to discuss the fact that young men can often have a skewed view of relationships and sex, due to the increasing availability of pornography. Mentors for the boys will include their teachers, the school site manager and the gardener.

In addition to the male students, girls will be working with their female teachers on things such as financial management and career aspirations.
