Qualitative and Quantitative Education Market Research
We can offer qualitative and quantitative education market research, or a combination of the two, across the entirety of the UK education landscape and internationally. Our panelists include teachers, heads, bursars, and other senior or specialist personnel from nurseries, primary and secondary schools, colleges and universities – including members of the senior leadership team. Our profiling survey gives us detailed knowledge about all our members, including subject taught, school location, head of department or not, Key Stage(s) taught, technology and resources used in the classroom and types of qualifications offered (GCSEs, BTECs, A-levels, Degrees) etc.
Our services range from simple or more hard-to-reach sample provision, to questions on omnibus surveys, subscription to one of our tracking surveys, ad-hoc sponsored questions or shorter surveys all the way to fully managed large-scale research projects involving thousands of online surveys, tele- or face-to-face depths and focus groups or hall tests.
In addition, we also conduct a wide range of qualitative and quantitative education market research consultancy which does not involve the use of our proprietary panel. This includes measuring brand perception for institutions in their local area, international projects, and carrying out research with and on behalf of a wide-range of education stakeholders such as parents, government officials and education unions or regulatory bodies for instance.
We have experience of testing a range of concepts, products, resources and courses with teachers, lecturers, bursars, administrators and a whole range of other education professionals. Some examples are provided below:
We can provide sample for a wide-array of research applications, but typically our sample is utilised for online surveys. These surveys may be prepared by the client, or we can assist in their scripting and hosting. Invitations to take part in the research are sent out using the VoicED system – for data protection reasons we cannot supply third parties with our members’ data including names or email addresses.
We run a regular omnibus survey which allows those clients who may only wish to ask one or two questions to benefit from the cost savings of syndicating a large scale survey and supplying profiling data to all those who contributed, whilst only giving them access to the answers to their questions. This allows for quick and efficient research at a cost-effective price.
The VoicED Education Satisfaction Tracker is published on a monthly basis and is designed to understand the changing levels of satisfaction in the wider education sector. The survey allows for analysis by region, local authority, gender and age. For teaching staff we also look at institution type (from nurseries through to higher education staff) and subject level. For larger or more complex projects we are happy to provide a bespoke research option. Research may include all panellists or can target niche groups, for example we recently conducted a survey gathering feedback on PSHE and Citizenship resources whereby we conducted qualitative and quantitative research with PSHE teachers. Our panel not only allows for quick responses from online surveys but we can recruit respondents to take part in focus groups, depth interviews, CATI research and other methodologies.
Our experienced researchers will take the time to fully understand your research requirement in order recommend the best approach for achieving your research aims within budget.
